A Great Optical Illusion
This illusion
originally involved a piece of paper with this peculiar spiral design on it.
And the illusion is created by getting the spiral to spin in a consistent motion.
Click the pinwheel or click here to download a small application file (Optical.exe 22KB). After you have downloaded the file, open it (click or double click) to run the pinwheel on your computer screen. You need to stare at the center (the circle) of the pinwheel for 30 seconds, then look away from the screen and look at a picture; the both sides of your hand; or at any object that's near you. Yeah! Very strange isn't it.
Mystic Wheel
Look at this illusion for a while. What do you see? It appears to be shimmering and moving, isn't it? Yes, believe what your eyes are seeing. Of course in reality it's not moving at all. Remember it's only an illusion! Also, follow the outermost groove and watch change from a groove to a hump.
Ok! Stop looking at it now, the wheel is not moving. Focus on just one part of the wheel, and you'll get my point!
